About the Training
An inspirational teacher training incorporating the key therapeutic aspects
of yoga for the physical, energetic, mental and emotional body.
This 200 hour, (2 week plus 2 week) Yoga Teacher Training offers an in-depth, student-oriented approach to foundational yoga that will facilitate a profound inner transformation for you – which is the essence of yoga.
We are seeking to empower new generations of teachers with the knowledge, ancient wisdom and philosophy of yoga, contextualized for 21stcentury reality.
This training responds to the current needs of yoga clients, many of whom are consciously coming to yoga as recommended by Medical professionals specifically to heal and grow mentally, physically and spiritually.
We are offering a Yoga IS medicine approach.
With this training you become proficient and well versed in physical anatomy and physiology, how to break-down and teach individual asanas and design sequences to serve the different human needs in private and group classes. You will also have an understanding of the energetic bodies, koshas, vayus, chakras and the underlying concept of the circulation of energy through the nadis (energy channels), including a practical practice of pranayama.
We will empower you with the skills to teach purpose-led practices to your your students, incorporating Yoga Therapy techniques and Ayurvedic approaches, to enable you to personalize your offerings into more restorative, yin or Vinyasa-flow based classes. You will be able to respond to individual client needs with confidence and clarity.
The training is endorsed by world-renowned Lance Schuler of INSPYA (www.inspyayoga.com). Their highly comprehensive training manual is one of the main teaching resources for this course.
This is a Boutique Teacher Training experience: Max 12 per course to offer intimate heart-led, Ashram-based experiences, with Yoga Karma to share the caring for the space and the community amongst and between the participants. We will be including a community/charity-based project in which students will teach practicum to refugees based in Ibiza.

Asanas
We will cover these different aspects of yoga during the teaching of individual (asana) the methodology of teaching (including aspects of NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming, as taught by Larah Master NLP Cert, to develop rapport you’re your students optimise your communication and thus your own students’ experiences. Asana methodology will include purpose and benefits of each asana, contraindications, modifications for different levels and physical needs, adjustment techniques plus intentionally created class sequencing.
At the core of your training will be therapeutically-based observation techniques to be able to personalise postures for individual students to support specific needs.
Meditations
Through your own personal immersion into an early-morning pre-sunrise meditation practice, you will experience and reflect on the benefits it brings. We will be teaching you a system for developing a meditation practice AND techniques to introduce meditations into general yoga classes for students of all levels.
Pranayama
We will be introducing 2 main pranayama teaching approaches;
- a step by step technical approach teaching maximum expansion for control of the diaphragm and assistant breathing muscles. During the first two weeks.
- a practical methodological approach to give inspire you with techniques you can immediately begin teaching your own future students and give you an authentic transformational experience of the power of pranayama. During the second half of the training as studied with Lisa’s guru, Clive Sheridan.
Philosophy
We will be weaving in Yoga Philosophy throughout the course with dedicated segments to The Bhagavad Gita, Yamas, Niyanas, Gunas and Patanjalis Yoga Sutras as well as an exploration of key dieties who can offer context and focus to forming teaching concepts.
